Testing the deployment

This section describes how to test the Secure DNS deployment on an administrator's computer running Windows or Linux.

The test involves sending several DNS queries to verify name resolution and filtering functionality.

It checks the resolution of both private and public domain names.

The deployment test consists of the following steps:

1. Test private domain name resolution on the organization’s local computer running Windows or Linux.

2. Test private domain name resolution on Secure DNS Client Node hosts.

3. Test public domain name resolution on the organization’s local computer running Windows or Linux.

4. Test public domain name resolution on Secure DNS Client Node hosts.

5. Troubleshoot any failures in private or public name resolution.

6. Verify that the test queries appear in the Secure DNS web interface.
