WHOIS
The BI.ZONE Secure DNS web interface allows you to retrieve domain data such as registration date, owner, expiration date, domain status, nameservers in use, and more. It enables quick verification of current and historical domain data for analysis and investigation.
Two protocols are used to retrieve data: RDAP and WHOIS.
WHOIS is a TCP-based query/response protocol used to obtain domain registration information in text format.
RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol) is a structured protocol that replaces WHOIS, providing access to domain registration data in JSON format.
BI.ZONE Secure DNS first queries data over RDAP. If an RDAP server does not provide information about a domain, data obtained over WHOIS is displayed.
Lookup is supported for first- and second-level domains. Lookup of third-level domains is possible if the second level domain is on the list of top-level domains (TLD).
